High-quality 14-gauge silicon bronze wood screws in a variety of lengths. These silicon bronze screws have a square-drive head and are ideal for use as boat building screws.
The square-drive head makes fastening with your electric screw-driver or cordless drill very quick and simple. The driver bit will remain locked in and will not slip, unlike other head types.
Even buried in the wooden structure of a boat, silicon bronze screws will not corrode - unlike stainless steel screws which will corrode when shielded from oxygen and unable to build a protective oxide layer.
We also recommend silicon bronze screws (or silicon bronze machine screws for high-load situations) for fastening our bronze deck hardware.

Long screws available again!
I purchased some silicon bronze wood screws to fasten bulwarks to the deck of the timber boat I'm building. Lengths required were 4" to 3", not normally available these days. The quality was excellent and they did the job. Be aware, however, that the square head drive in long silicon bronze screws is more easily stripped than stainless steel. Be generous with your pilot holes!
