Description
Copper sheet with a gauge of 0.70mm for sheathing wooden boat hulls, roofing and many other marine and household applications. For sheathing a wooden boat the copper sheets are overlaped and fixed in place using smooth-shafted copper sheathing nails. For roofing applications ringed bronze nails are more suitable as they grip the wood.
Our copper sheets come in a number of standard sizes ranging from 450mm x 450mm up to 1800mm x 900mm.
We ship copper sheet gently rolled into a cylinder to minimise postage costs. If you require sheet to be shipped flat please talk to us to calculate costs based upon your location.
If you have a need for multiple sheets or a custom size, please contact us for a quote.
Technical Stuff
Classic Boat Supplies' copper sheet is tempered 75/90 and meets the UNS specification, designated C11000 and is >99% pure copper.
C11000 is unsuitable for gas welding and high temperature brazing. Oxygen free copper, C10200, or the deoxidised alloy C12200 is preferred where welding is required.
C11000 gives excellent resistance to salt water, weathering and many chemicals. It can be used underground.
