CAST AND MACHINED BRASS BUTT HINGES
I am a retired craftsman, Manual Arts Head of Dept and later a Tafe Teacher and have always been an enthusiast at making and appreciating fine furniture. I was engaged to make a number of "Jury selection tumbler barrels" for the new courts in Brisbane. I acquired some very aged recycled and beautifully caramelized Queensland Hoop Pine that complimented the decor of the new court furniture. I searched all over for quality five section knuckle machined brass butt hinges for the access doors of the barrels, and became quite elated when I opened the web pages of "Classic Boat Supplies". What a wonderful find. They had exactly what I required, and found their service was second to none. My anxiety levels are greatly reduced and the finished products looking great, slotted countersunk brass screws "headed" and all.

Superior and well crafted hinges
At 2.2mm these hinges are made of thicker material than those found in your local large hardware store. Also notice that they are chamfered around the hinge pin rather than squared off. And they have a rounded outer long edge. The hinges have a very smooth action without slack.
The service from order to receipt was fast. Ordered Thursday pm, arrived the following Tuesday.
