Description
Polished bronze sailboat rudder kits suitable for medium-sized sailing boats, up to around 18 feet in length. The straps are cast in a range of widths to suit most vessels.
Made in England, this 4-piece set is beautifully cast and polished. The set consists of:
- One transom-mounted gudgeon
- One transom-mounted pintle
- One rudder-mounted gudgeon
- One rudder-mounted pintle
Note that 8g silicon bronze screws for fastening are not included and must be purchased separately. Consider through-bolting transom fittings with bronze machine screws for added strength.

clashing screws
Excellent product BUT : The holes for the screws should be offset so the screws don't clash, I had to use copper rivets. The fittings are for 3/4" stock and screws from either side will not work.
Classic Boat Supplies - Glenn's comment is most relevant to the smallest 3/4" kit, where even short screws may touch. A solution is to rivet as Glenn has done, or to angle 3/4" screws slightly. The issue does not affect wider rudder kits which have more space.
