Description
Davey & Co. gunmetal bronze mast bands or cranse irons for sailboats. These beautiful cast fittings are non-tapering and have four eyes for attaching shrouds, a diamond, etc. as needed to either a mast or bow sprit.
Note that the mast bands come with no fastening holes which allows for flexible installation.

Bronze Mast Band

This product I found hard to locate considering timber boats equipment seems to have been phased out but Classic Supplies hold the bar high and support wooden boat builders. Thanks for that.
I was at the point of welding a mast band from Stainless but this is much more desired visually and specific.

Re: Bowsprit collar
It is an excellent casting. I found no cracks and no voids. Also a very nice job of polishing. There is slight variations in thickness and straightness but this is consistent with all castings. I was a machinist and know the time a cost of such processes. Therefore I find this item very suitable for it's intended purpose.
