Description
Bronze drain plugs with screw plug insert, complete with rubber seal, available in a range of sizes.
The thread is drilled so that when loosened, the plugs allow a small amount of water to drain. Unscrew the plug completely for higher water throughput.
These transom drainage plugs are made in the UK. The plugs are drilled to allow them to be tethered to avoid loss.

bronze drain plug - Davey
In searching for drain plugs for my home built 22 foot Simmons Sea Skiff, I ran across this site. The drain plug design had everything a drain plug should have: 1)made of bronze; 2)different size drain diameters; 3)a 'tether hole' so cap would sink to the bottom of the sea. My original thought was to buy the 1 1/4". But I ended up buying the 1/2" instead. When it arrived in the mail, I realized that 1/2" just wouldn't quite empty water fast enough; so I reordered the 1 1/4" size. I know I will be glad I did. I am impressed with the detail of this plug. And I know once installed in my boat [I need two - one on each side of the motorwell] it will serve me for many years. I'm glad I found this product. Even though it's a half a world away, it's worth every penny.
